Have you heard
about the knit-nights and book-talks series
coming to the library this Fall? I
am really looking forward to these events: I love a good novel, especially when
the theme is the cozy art of knitting!
Maggie
Sefton writes about Kelly Flynn, an enthusiastic knitter. Between caring for her alpaca ranch and
her hometown yarn shop, she still manages to find time to solve crimes!
Monica
Ferris includes patterns and recipes in her books about the Crewel World
Needlework shop owner and part-time detective, Betsy Devonshire.
The ever-popular Debbie
Macomber’s books about A Good Yarn shop on Blossom Street won’t disappoint
fans of contemporary romance and domestic fiction.
Stephanie
Pearl-McPhee’s book, At
Knit’s End, will have you rolling on the floor laughing – be careful
not to stab yourself or a neighbor with those knitting needles!
I’m also looking
forward to getting some help with the pesky scarf I’m knitting. I always seem to drop too many stitches
and purl in all the wrong places.
It will be wonderful to finish that project and maybe start some new
ones in time to make home-made holiday gifts.
I hope to see you
all there! This will be a
wonderful opportunity to meet friends and make some new ones, too!
